I inherited my drawing talents from my father and expanded to painting in high school. I won several awards during high school and after graduating I put down my pens for a while. After having my first three children I once again took up my brushes and exhibited at ‘Southern Tangent,’ an eclectic regional art gallery. I have won the ‘Peoples Choice’ award four years consecutively at the River Region Art Associations annual art show and sale. Shortly after, I gained the opportunity to begin painting murals for a gymnastics facility. I painted a total of four murals in the facility in addition to several backdrops for gymnastics competitions. I have also been commissioned to realize many pieces for clients who observed me paint the murals. Two years following my time at the gym a new client commissioned me to design a garden entranceway for a highly selective community as well as their advertising brochures.
